Unless completing an annual top-up, for best results, pre-treat the system with Flushex cleaner & sludge remover prior to adding Protex.

• Locate the central heating feed and expansion tank.
• Shake bottle and pour entire contents into tank.
• Protex is gradually drawn into the system and provides full protection within 1-6 weeks.
• Bleed radiators after 2-3 days and again after 2-3 weeks.

Alternatively, Protex can be added via a partially drained radiator.

• Protex central heating inhibitor has now been protecting domestic central heating systems for more than twenty years.
• Protex is a multi-purpose treatment, specially designed to protect the entire central heating system from scale, sludge and corrosion.
• Protex is compatible with plastic and glass-fibre header-tanks and with all metals used in central heating systems which includes iron, steel, brass, copper and aluminium. Protex is also suitable for micro-bore systems constructed from plastic pipes.
• To ensure ongoing protection, annual treatment with Protex is recommended.
• Protex does not contain mineral oil.
• Protex is only suitable for fully indirect systems. Not suitable for use with PRIMATIC single feed cylinders.
• If the boiler suffers from knocking and kettling, then Scalex boiler noise silencer is recommended in conjunction with Protex for optimum long term protection.
