INSTRUCTIONS

For best results, pre-treat with Flushex cleaner & sludge remover prior to adding Scalex. Add Protex inhibitor to protect the metallic components in the system.

• Locate the central heating feed and expansion tank.
• Shake bottle and pour entire contents into tank.
• Scalex is gradually drawn into the system and provides full effect within 1-6 weeks.
• Bleed radiators after 2-3 days and again after 2-3 weeks.

Alternatively, Scalex can be added via a partially drained radiator.

• Scalex is a non-acid boiler descaler which stays in the system for life; no need to flush.
• Scalex is compatible with plastic tanks, micro-bore and all metals (including aluminium) used in central heating systems.
• Scalex is only suitable for fully indirect systems. Not suitable for use with PRIMATIC single feed cylinders.
• Knocking and kettling can be especially irritating in the early hours or at night. Noisy boilers are usually attributable to hard water limescale and sludge deposit formation on the heat exchanger surfaces. These deposits also reduce heat transfer which increases fuel bills and reduces the service life of the boiler. Scalex will remove scale and baked on sludge deposits and prevent them from reforming, thus restoring heating efficiency while reducing the noise and extending the life of the boiler.
